The sixth workshop of the project “The Role of Japan’s Diplomacy in the Middle East/Eurasia: Understanding the Reality of Great Power-led Connectivity Strategies and Regional Order Restructuring in an Era of Competition among Nations“ was held as outlined below.

The Energy Situation in the Eastern Mediterranean under the Gaza Crisis (Masahide Takahashi, Senior Research Fellow, MEIJ)

Main contents:
- Dr. Hisae Nakanishi explained the current status and challenges of achieving the two goals of achieving maritime and economic securities in the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea region within the framework of International North and South Transport Corridor.
- Mr. Masahide Takahashi explained the impact of the Gaza crisis on Israel's natural gas industry, energy cooperation between Israel and Egypt, and Israel's oil procurement policy.
- Members discussed how to proceed the project.
